BODMAS = brackets, orders, division, multiplication, addition subtraction
GEMDAS = grouping, exponents, MDAS
BIDMAS = brackets, indices, DMAS

Wow, that's what I get for skipping trig in high school and taking statistics instead. Statistics turned out to be more useful in college and in real life, though.
Well, these orders of operation apply to all math, even prob & stats. I agree that for most folks, prob & stats is likely more useful than trig and calculus. Most everyone might benefit from a passing knowledge of algebra and geometry. Just my opinion…
