How Avengers: Infinity War Should Have Ended

How It Should Have Ended came up with multiple ways the plot could have been resolved without all that fighting and stuff. Of course, that would have left us with much less of a movie, and wouldn't have set up the next installment. Why Do Superheroes Wear Capes?

A superhero's costume must be skin tight, colorful, and come with a cape. But superhero costume designer Edna Mode says, "No capes!" and therefore the more modern superheroes don't. So why do the old school heroes like Superman and Batman wear capes? It's not just because they capes are cool. 

To get the real story, we have to go back to the pop culture that inspired the comic book superhero in the first place, back in the 1930s. Once a character has been designed, artists found all kinds of ways to use the cape to illustrate different aspects of the character or the story. As more and more superheroes came about, some went without capes just to be different, or as a statement that they aren't a slave to obsolete fashion unless the character was designed to be old-fashioned. Superhero Gifts

The formula works this way: 
1. Christmas song becomes popular.
2. Christmas song gets played a t lot. An awful lot.
3. People hate Christmas song. 

Now, Batman and Superman are often portrayed as best friends, or at least cordial. They both live in the DC universe, both have alter egos, both were orphaned at a tender age, and both fight crime. But they also have fundamental differences in style and attitude, and it's sometimes implied that Batman is envious of Superman's super powers. Considering all this, what will these two superheroes get each other for Christmas to continue this love-hate relationship? This year, Batman is inspired by the downside of Superman's powers, specifically, his ability to hear everything going on. Superman may have more natural abilities, but you have to remember that Batman has more amazing gadgets. This super Christmas story is from How It Should Have Ended.

Batman the Billionaire

When Batman debuted in comics in 1939, his alter-ego Bruce Wayne was made a billionaire to explain how he had the Batcave, Batmobile, all kinds of technological wonders at his disposal, and the free time to fight crime in Gotham City. Readers had no real concept of a billionaire back then, except that they were rich. Now we have plenty of real billionaires in the news, sucking up resources and exerting power over our everyday lives. They give rich people a bad name. That knowledge kind of puts a different light on Batman, don't you think? In this short video from Dorkly, Batman's usual nemeses, the Joker, the Riddler, Two-Face, and Mr. Freeze, realize who the real villain is. The story is only 2:40; the rest is an ad. Marvel Superhero Three-Point Landings

If you are a superhero who can fly, or even just leap tall buildings in a single bound, you still have to come down to earth sometime. The standard way to do it is to land with bent knees for shock absorption, feet apart for stability, one hand down for safety, and the other arm flung wide because it's hella photogenic. That gives you the standard superhero landing that we've all become familiar with. It takes some practice, and you get the idea that they learned this from each other. However, it doesn't always go that smoothly (2:45). Marvel Entertainment put together this compilation of epic landings in the MCU films.
