I never saw this Sainsbury's Christmas ad from five years ago until yesterday. I was quite captivated. It's goofy, but it's kids putting on a show, and they really put their hearts into it. The behind-the-scenes video is even cuter.
Can we wait, Miss C., until at least the beginning of December before bombing us with all the Christmas-related blog entries? At least here in the USA, Thanksgiving (and to a lesser degree, even Halloween) are getting trampled in the "Christmas Is Coming!" stampede.
That's something they'll never forget, hopefully won't tell everyone they know about it repeatedly.
Christmas will make or break many retail operations, perhaps some wholesale too. So the airwaves and interweb will be saturated with reminders to shop early and often.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of Mad Men; I will fear no sales pitch; nor targeted commercial; for wallet is with me; thy emptiness comforts me. Thou pulleth my credit score in the presence of vultures thou slapeth upside my head; my beer runneth over. Surely thou emptiness and unfailing echo of void will always pursue me for all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the poorhouse forever. Amen
