Last month, the Swedish tourism agency released a video addressing the common confusion some have with two European countries that start with the same sound: Sweden and Switzerland. It may surprise you, but they are actually two different countries.
Switzerland has now taken up the fight. The Swiss embassy in Washington, DC has released a video that delves further into ways that Americans can distinguish between the two nations. However, ambassador Jacques Pitteloud gives us examples that all seem to involve both countries, so it may be a little confusing. He also gets in a few friendly digs at Sweden.
If you really want to be confused, you can also check out a video from Eswatini Tourism, a country that used to be called Swaziland. The name change takes it out of the running for being confused with Sweden and Switzerland, but sets it up with confusion with Estonia. (via Metafilter)
