History of the word "dude" -- fascinating!
So this year for Halloween I came across a pumpkin covered in warts. Turns out some are intentionally genetically engineered for this. It was a tough carve, but it worked marvelously. Made one of those sick vomitting pumpkins for my 'science lab' table. Very cool. Anyway, I liked it so much that after Halloween, I moved it to a tree close to the sidewwalk and street. It sits there monitoring the comings and goings. I checked on it today - solid as a rock. Must be the genetics. Gonna have to move it into the woods at some point. I'm sure the squirrels will eventually get to it.
