Five Nights at Freddy's is a video game franchise that began in 2014. It was made into a horror film in 2023. The movie Five Nights at Freddy's is still in theaters, as it only opened a couple of weeks ago, yet it is also available for streaming on Peacock. The movie, like the game, revolves around the murderous animatronic characters at a pizza place called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, an obvious parody of Chuck E. Cheese and ShowBiz Pizza Place.
Is the movie any good? Critics panned it for being not very scary, with jokes that aren't very funny. The plot makes no sense even after you accept the supernatural parts. But the audiences love it. The movie has grossed $224 million in a just a couple of weeks, despite simultaneous streaming. Is it the built-in fans of the game? Is it the fact that it's a PG-13 horror movie for kids? Maybe. In this Honest Trailer, Screen Junkies gives us an idea of what Five Nights at Freddy's has to offer.
