Kentucky Roundabout

There's a new roundabout in eastern Kentucky, specifically Rowan County near the Bath County line. Luckily, traffic was not coming from all directions when this video was taken, because these are NOT one way streets! The roundabout was constructed to improve traffic flow and reduce accidents, so what could possibly go wrong? They will definitely have to improve signage or something. (via Jalopnik)

So hard not to be rude about the intelligence of Americans... would it be ok if I just commented on the seeming stupidity of Kentuckians ?
No, I won't, I have better manners (?) ... maybe they don't have roundabouts in America ... or centre lines to tell the drivers which side of the road to drive on.
Ah, hang on, maybe there are some British visitors there ! That would explain it.

They are a fairly rare phenomenon here, usually large multi-road junctions that are clearly marked. This type of small two road intersections is slowly spreading as an alternative to traffic lights or stop signs. One appeared near me in the last year or two, in an area without street lights so no power for a traffic light. I think because 99% of the time there's no traffic coming from both roads at once so people were ignoring the stop signs. I read they think it slows traffic also, but it's confusing for drivers who have never seen one.
