Nothing hot about this toddy. Notice there is no signature, nor the patient's name. The doctor probably had a pile of these ready to go in cold season. No signature required because these ingredients were available in most homes. It probably worked pretty well, too. (Thanks, WTM!)

Yep, that's what my mom gave me when I was a kid
we used brandy instead of whisky. worked ok.

I should mention that instead of whiskey, he'd use Tullamore Dew. Or Jameson 's .
So each dose is a third of a teaspoon of whiskey? I think I've eaten fancy chocolates that have more alcohol in them than that.
