The American President

The 1994 political romance The American President portrayed a kinder, gentler time in Washington. Or at least more sanity than we have now. I saw it in a theater, but don't recall much about it as I had a lot going on in my life that year. It was a hit, and well-received by critics. The American President also inspired both The West Wing and Spin City, two TV shows that I managed to never see.
