During the vote, he almost voted FOR paid medical leave! Either he was being sincere, or brain dead. Regardless, his fellow republicans made sure he “corrected” his decision and cast the deciding vote against it.
It should be noted that McConnell returned to the Senate to vote to get a Farm Bill moved out of committee. There was no vote on paid a medical leave bill
^^^ It should be noted that Mitch McConnell has repeatedly voted against federal paid sick leave legislation yet still took full advantage of it for the duration of 92 days.
Seriously, you need to have politicians, all of them, do compulsory retirement at 75 years of age. While a long tenure of being alive may be a good quality, the do lelly starts in most people by the late seventies ... look at the Orange Monster, he is about to unleash nuclear weapons on Iran because they didn't like being attacked and fought back. Forget the fact that Orange (non) Aid has replaced all the generals of the army, all the judges in the Supreme Court, the leader of the FBI, etc etc, with his sycophants ... ready for a bloodless coup. So yeah, retire at 75, make it compulsory by 2075, by which stage the Kingdom of Trump, and specifically King Barron, will be once again, able to be shed from the American public.
Sucks being you, but the Fat Ugly Orange with too many segments is ruining the world's economy as well as the USA, and that affects us out here in normal lands.
It should be noted that the meme clearly states (not implies) that McConnell returned to the Senate to vote against paid medical leave, which is a falsehood, aka a lie. People who are constantly and rightly calling out the multitude of lies and asinine statements from our current president should not accept lies from others.

Congress should not have a completely different plan than the rest of the federal employees.
Do as I say, not as I do.
