Cupid's Checklist

A 1950 educational film about whether you should marry that guy. Or that girl. When these youngsters revealed they'd known each other for three months, I knew that waiting would be the best. Oh sure, I only knew my last husband for only nine months before we married, but we were in our 50s and knew darn well what is important and what we needed to agree on to make it work.

Back in the 1950s, the average age at first marriage was the lowest on the graph. You had to be married to have sex, see, or else you got "caught" at it by becoming pregnant. That's why people got married so young. The Pill made all the difference.
