The real downsides occur thousands, millions, or billions of years later:
You will spend thousands upon thousands of years as the only living human on the planet.
You will spend millions of years as the only living organism in an otherwise entirely uninhabitable solar system.
In billions of years, you will survive the inevitable eventual collapse of our galaxy into its black hole.
