From experience, maybe, depending on the strength of the hollow poll where it enters the stand. A small 2ft piece of rebar would make it much more resilient.
A hollow poll is similar to an unenforceable referendum, I would instead suggest opposing direction cable ties over the existing ties.
Also you can buy spiral power cords sheaths made of thickish plastic (may be silicone) ... I use them to avoid my rabbits chewing through the power cords (240 volt here.
Interesting that the storm louvres are on the inside of the window, they must have some tuff kitties.
I don't see how this will bother the cats at all. Their goal is not to topple the tree, they just want to knock every bobble off it, and play hide & seek while investigating it. The least they can do is protect you from viscous Squirrels in exchange for this new treat.

The flooring looks like Douglas Fir.

I usually bathe my squirrels to reduce the viscousity.
