Thoughts and Prayers

Randy Rainbow looks at the constant mass shootings we have these days, and how the right offers thoughts and prayers instead of sensible gun safety laws. The tune is that of "Dance: Ten, Looks: Three" from the musical A Chorus Line. Let's be honest, there's nothing wrong with prayer, but it shouldn't be a public performance, and it should never be an excuse to shirk your civic duty.

Why all the gun safety laws--like in Chicago? There are still shootings there. Maybe we should make it illegal to hurt or kill someone no matter what is used.

Oh wait--that does not work either.

My point is that additional laws will not work in preventing the next shooting. Or knifing. Or the next "beat someone to death."

Maybe we should focus on fixing the psychotic murderers before they hurt or kill themselves or someone else.

To be fair, I'd rather go up against a guy with a knife or fists then I guy with a gun. But that's me.
