Netflix unveiled the first teaser for it new series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, who earns her stripes as the spookiest young teen on TV. The teaser sets up the premise that Wednesday is such a troublemaker that she is sent off to the boarding school where her parents met. Nevermore Academy is a specialized school that resemble Hogwarts for the homicidally-inclined. The eight-episode limited series is executive-produced by Tim Burton, who directed four of the episodes. This looks like it could be a hit.

Gomez, physically, looks to be portrayed more closely to the Chas. Addams drawings than either John Astin or Raul Julia. But I liked both of their Gomez portrayals.
Sorry, but Christina Ricci IS, WAS, and WILL ALWAYS BE the quintessential embodiment of Wednesday Addams. End of discussion.

Lisa Loring was a decent Wednesday.
This Netflix show looks like it will be more like the cartoons Charles Addams did for the New Yorker. He had a very dark sense of humor.
