Santa Claus vs. the Devil

In this episode of MST3K, Joel and the bots watch Santa Claus, a 1959 Mexican film I actually remember. From the YouTube description:

Greetings and Merry Christmas, MSTies! In true Christmas fashion we offer you, "Santa Claus", a truly bizarre look into Christmas around the globe from an odd Santa Claus who really gets a kick out of watching children from around the world sing and dance. Later on we see the extremely weird obstacle Santa has to deal with in, "Pitch", a red, horned and mischievous devil who's determined to corrupt the minds of children everywhere while at the same time ruining Christmas by messing with Santa. You'd think a devil would have more important things to do than mess with a jolly, old, fat, bearded guy in a red suit.
When I was a kid, the downtown merchant's association (then called just the merchant's association) sponsored free children's movies at our one theater every Saturday morning in December at 10AM. That would give parents the time to shop for Christmas gifts. It was chaos, with hundreds of unaccompanied kids, hopped up on candy, throwing popcorn and having a ball. This movie was representative of the sort of film shown, so it didn't really hold our attention. MST3K added just what it needs. (via Nag on the Lake)

Our local cinema had those "free" kids' movies in December too when I was small.
