That "window swap" site is pretty neat.
Good stuff today, Miss C.
I'm thinking of the Kaiser an uncle once owned.
Early 60s, it was a rust bucket. Front passenger
seat was basically gone as was the whole rear
seat. I had to stand in the back and hold the
front seat frame when we went anywhere. Tooling
along one day my foot broke through the floor.
All I can remember is watching the road go by
through the hole and screaming like crazy to
stop. Which he didn't until we got to a stop
sign. Pretty sure that was the impetus for
replacing the Kaiser with a Jeep. Remembering
my uncle and looking at Kaiser's history that
makes perfect sense.
Good times.
That story reminds me of my first car, a '66 MG Midget. The floorboards wore out completely, so it was like a Flintstones car with power. The tailpipe fell off constantly, since my school had speed bumps. One night, the steering wheel fell off.
That's my brother's car story... and it's completely true. He sat in the well, our grandparents in the back with me, and our parents in the front.
