I was in London when this came out. Bought the album - the Cousins didn't use inner paper sleeves - just bare vinyl. It was several months later when it finally debuted in the U.S. Back then I'd always wondered about the delay in music reaching either shore. Music's so screwed up today, I wonder how much good stuff we're missing. . .
Thank you for this....Mark King is an understated and under appreciated musical genius. AND he played the hell out of his bass while he was singing. Lots of people try that trick, (orders of magnitude harder than accompanying yourself on guitar or piano or accordion), few do it with such aplomb. Thank you again....
