Why You Shouldn’t Drive Slowly in the Left Lane

Note: this video is only aimed at drivers in countries where you drive on the right. When you drive down an interstate highway, you constantly see signs that say “slower traffic keep right” or “left lane for passing only.” There’s a reason for this. The narrator of this video apparently had never heard of the rule, which says something about his driving instructor, and tells us that he does not read signs.

Nevertheless, there will be people who prefer to use the left lane of a four-lane road because the pavement is better. Or they are afraid that the right lane will end. Or they are going the speed limit, and no one should go faster than that. None of those reasons are good for the flow of traffic. Feel free to send this video to someone who needs it. The next lesson: turn signals.  (via reddit)

We drive in all lanes here in Southern California. Most of the more traveled streets have three lanes. For some reason, there is almost always at least one car going much slower than the speed limit in the left lane. It drives me crazy. I've tried driving in the far right lane lately, which is avoided by most people because it's supposed to be the slow lane. For some reason, it's often faster than the left lane. I do not understand this!

The left lane bandits are control freaks, attention whores, holier than thous, with the IQ of a poopy. The Ralph Wiggums of society. Bad people, very very bad people.

Next should be the people who stop before turning off a road when there is no reason to.

I recently saw a receipt for the sale of a 1954 car that had a $17 charge for "optional turn signals". I suspect that there are plenty of people who think that if they were optional then, they're optional now...

When young and with a stay at home wife, two small kids and a mortgage, I drove taxis for a long time.
Having crash bars front and back with a needed commodity for the battlefield of rush hour and late night drunk drivers.
One of the best things about the crash bars was if someone was hogging the ... well, it's the right lane where I come from, so let's call it the fast lane ... you could judt come up behind them and bump them.
They would get all angry and fist waving, but I was a bit of a strapping superman type so they soon backed down.
A few times they called police, but that was rare as this was WAY before mobile phones, and nobody had dash cams back them, they weren't invented. Time any coppers came around I had used a can of spray paint to take any scuffs out of the crash bars that might incriminate me and I'd just outright deny any involvement.

Lol, feel free to judge me, I rescue cats now so all the gods love me.
