Forming a new state or country means somebody has to give some up... ain’t happening. The last time killed over a million people.
During the depression, as always, the politicians play to the majority. In times of dwindling resources they will go where it benefits the most voters.

Science has spurred the biggest fears of the future, we are lucky there’s no flying cars. Can you imagine the idiots you see on the street flying over your home.

Arrgh, parents can be so embarrassing, once mom said “I love you” right in front of the guys! I could have just died.

The school start dates blew my mind. Growing up in New England it was after Labor day, and since I’ve been aware of some starting the last week of August. But early August and July is crazy talk, they must have A/C... we had windows that opened.
