Didn't "woke" start as an unironic self-description by youth on the left? Kind of like the right uses "sheeple" to intimate that they are the only ones aware (awake) of what is really going on.

Sheeple is a derogatory term accusing people of following without questioning or thinking. It's always directed at the other guys.

Saying a cow has only one stomach divided into 4 sections with 4 purposes, rather than 4 stomachs is pretty pedantic.
Khelif the boxer story proves two things;
1. the Russians have mastered the internet for directing the trolls to help Russian goals.
2. J.K. Rowling is the master(mistress?) of fabricating implausible stories.

The term "woke" arose about 100 years ago in the Black community as a warning to always be aware of the danger from white people around you. In the 1980s or '90s, it leaked into use by white progressives as meaning they are aware of their racial privilege. In the past few years, no one uses it except the right wing, and it means anything they don't like.
