Phoenix the Fire Princess

A Phoenix is a mythical bird who rises alive and renewed from its own ashes. Phoenix the cat is the same. She was found as a kitten with severe burns, but there was no house fire she could be traced to. She may have been sleeping in a fire pit when it was lit, or she might have been a victim of abuse. The kitten was taken in by Fine Feline Cat Rescue, and underwent months of treatment for her burns. Melissa Nelson already had four cats, two dogs, and three children, but was compelled to take the kitten in. That set up a wonderful relationship. You can see more of Phoenix at Instagram.
