Timing and numbers. Timing is crucial for comedy, and numbers can be a lot of fun if you know how to manipulate them. To demonstrate, Ryan Goodcase tells a joke that thoroughly impresses all who hear it. It's not so much the joke itself, but the clever way he tells it.

Yeah, this one has been rehearsed a lot. Note that Goodcase himself doesn't have to keep up with the numbers for most of his patter. The real punch line comes in that loooong pause that gets funnier the longer it goes. And that's the only place he needs to do any counting himself. Genius!
