Serena Shoots Rubber Bands

Serena loves playing with rubber bands, and has worked out how to shoot them like an arrow by using both paws. That's a smart cat! The first time you see it, you might think it's accidental, but she does it over and over, because of course she does. Now Serena doesn't have to have someone around to make them move so she can chase down the fast-moving rubber bands.

But it's not yet time to panic. Cats may learn to manipulate man-made objects, but only for their own amusement. Actually taking over the world is a hassle they aren't likely to bother with. Cats are smart enough to get what they want, and that should be enough for anyone. (via Metafilter)

How do I describe ... the utter lack of joy, the penance forced, the aural agony ... of tuba's and brass band noise from circa 1930s.

In the haste to hit the mute button my cappuccino was at risk, and nearly became keyboard lubrication.

Quiet now and able to see the cute elastic launching feline.

A more appropriate sound track of one of the James Bond 007 sound tracks playing in my head.

They complain if they think it'll be profitable, or act if they think it will help get what they want. All else failed they'll find a spot to retreat... maybe to sulk or maybe to scheme, who knows what evil lurks...

Some people are like that too.xoxoxoBruce
