As for Miss Cinders, she's a bearded clam with an upright wink that lives in Fufu Land (a magical place). Either that or a 1925 comic character that apparently was on everyone's lips. . .

I've seen those Finnish cabinets that have plate drain racks over the sink. But the cabinets are often made out of particle board that swells when it gets wet. So within a few years, the doors and shelves become swollen and warped, and the laminate gets cracked. They become horrible looking and can't be fixed.

Its a clever idea done cheaply (IKEA) that becomes an eyesore. Be warned.

Lois, particle board should be banned from kitchens forever! It's the reason I want a kitchen remodel. I don't deliberately leave water everywhere, but after so many years, my counters are falling apart.
