The City Hall Plaza in Boston has recently renovated their outdoor playground. It now features a tall slide that is mostly a metal tube. See how that works, as a Boston police officer takes his turn. The unnamed officer was hurt, but not seriously injured. The video of the incident went viral, with millions of views on TikTok. We don't know what happened to make his trip down the slide go so wrong, but we can surmise that the nonstop rattling on the way down was probably caused by the equipment he was wearing. The slide has a sign indicating it is for children ages 2-12, but plenty of adults have tried it with much better outcomes, as you can see in a roundup of videos here. (via Fark)

I assume his polyester uniform generated much less friction than other fabrics.
But why tho?
