I'd guess from the diagram that it is some sort of "heat-pipe" solar heat collection system, with the collection pipes in vacuum-evacuated glass to minimize heat loss to the environment.

I saw it on Miss C and I knew what it was.
The Lasagna of Sadness was a rabbit hole. He quoted lyrics of 4 Feist songs so of course I had to lookup the complete lyrics of each to see the context in the song. At one looking up I saw the clickbait remark "There are 19 types of smiles but only 6 are from pleasure". Why yes, I did take the bait. What a rabbit hole that turned out to be, and never did explain the 6.
A good time had by all who visit Miss C.
