You've seen the suicide trombone routine. It's kind of scary, but you've never seen it like this! The Liberty High School Trombone Headchoppers of Frisco, Texas, do the regular stuff, but then they get complicated, using irregular cadence, spins, and blindfolds. One misstep could mean stitches. They must have practiced diligently, and suffered for their art along the way.

Not to spoil the effect, but it's all done on cadence. There's still a heckuvalot of practice that went into it, though.

I don't think one would need stitches if they got hit by a trombone slide (unless maybe they got hit by the spit valve).
I would be more concerned about damaging my slide than by getting hit by one.
At the YouTube page, they said they dented two trombones in rehearsal.
I can picture two trombones getting damaged by colliding with each other. Sure wouldn't want my mouth on one in a collision.
