A Marching Band tribute to The Wizard of Oz

The upside of sitting in the nosebleed section of a football stadium is being able to see the formations of the marching band, especially if it’s the Ohio State University marching band. Saturday, they played the tunes from The Wizard of Oz while forming animated formations of the principle characters. Awesome!

I'll bet none of these performers were lip-synching or using Autotune....

Maybe the Super Bowl mucky-mucks should get this bunch for the halftime show and let the over-hyped rock stars, rappers, dancers, and whoever else take a seat and watch some people with real talent for once.

Amazing! I would love to take a non-USA person to a marching band performance. It's such a crazypants artform.

Just remember that those lines going across the field are 10 yards (30 feet) apart.

It is amazing how fast they have to move to cover those distances while playing their instruments.

Sorry, those lines are 5 yards (15 feet apart).

It's been too long since my days in high school marching band or watching football.
