I've been watching The Kardashians lately and I don't understand why so many people have an issue with it. With all the plastic parts moving around it's not that much different from a Lego movie.

Happy Friday Miss C! Enjoy the holiday weekend with your family.

"The Old Mill" ride at the Minnesota State Fair is still operational ... and the fair is going on right now.  So anyone who's in the area and wants to check it out, here's your chance!

I regret to say that the one time I went to the State Fair with Katherine, we never took a ride on this attraction.  We also never rode a Ferris wheel together, either, so I never did find out for myself if, like it said in the song, "you'll never know how great a kiss can feel when you're stopped at the top of the Ferris wheel".

Ahh, yes.  Opportunities never seized are forever lamented.

With regards to blowing up a (presumably dead) horse, would this be considered 'going out with a bang'?

Although I suppose it's better than the alternative of constantly beating a dead horse.

Indeed the post at Metafilter was titled "How to beat a dead horse... to Smithereens."
