Dr. Plants got a big glass tank and created an entire world inside in just a year! He started with water and soil and light, and added plants and animals gradually. That's pretty cool in itself, but he recorded the interesting things he noticed about the animals species up close to share them with us, which is the coolest part of this video. We get to see how these forest creatures live their lives, which includes cannibalism and parthenogenesis. (via Digg)

Pretty amazing but it sounds like he knew what he was doing from the start.
He knew what to add and when.
I must have missed the parthenogenesis part.
