Macintosh Startup Sound History

Here's a nerdy-as-heck video for Mac users, about the evolution and imminent death of the Mac startup sound. PC users won't find it at all interesting. In 1988, my husband and I finally trashed our ancient Apple II and got a used Mac Plus. Since then, I've used a Mac SE, Mac Classic, Performa, iMac G3, two Mac Minis, and two iMacs. I also have a Cube that I inherited, but haven't yet used. My latest iMac was purchased in 2016, and I hate that it doesn't have a disc drive, but I am glad that it still has the "Bonnnng!" startup sound. (via Geeks Are Sexy)
