I haven't turned on the air conditioning yet this year. It's not that bad in here at all. Part of it is getting used to not being in air conditioning all the time. The other part is crucial: I live in a 112-year old house with high ceilings and adequate windows. I have window fans in the front, pulling in air from the back. Ceiling fans, too. And the stairwell pulls heat upstairs, where no one lives right now. The real payoff comes with the electricity bill, which has a comparison of how much power I used in the same month last year.
