Concerning Haring's painting — I agree ... it should have been left 'unfinished' as it provided a much more powerful statement that way.

I also take issue with this line in the article — "Haring rose to fame through the graffiti art he drew inside the New York subways. In the early ’80s, Haring produced hundreds of these public drawings in rapid rhythmic lines, sometimes creating as many as 40 ‘subway drawings’ in one day.”
I do object to the current viewpoint that vandalism with a spray can and a stencil (ala Banksy or other taggers) is considered 'urban art'.
