Further reading on kidnappings:

The Blue Tattoo, The life of Olive Oatman by
Margot Mifflin is a good read. The character
Eva Oates in AMC's Hell on Wheels is "loosely"
based on Oatman.

Empire of the Summer Moon - Quanah Parker and
the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most
Powerful Indian Tribe in American History by
S.C. Gwynne should be required reading in high
school. Absolutely awesome. The movie is in
pre-production. John Wayne's The Searchers is
based on Cynthia Ann Parker.

And here's a freebie special:

Narrative of the capture and subsequent sufferings of Mrs. Rachel Plummer

Written by Rachel Plummer, it's only 32 pages
and available on-line. Read it.

Thank you for using the word infamous.

I spend copious amounts of ink correcting people's misuse of the word famous, on the internet's social sites.

Oh, the irony.

In the '13 Jokes That Sailed Over Our Heads' Grandpa Simpson orates about '40 rods to the hogshead' and then the text goes on to explain that a rod equals some other old fashioned measurement, also now defunct, at least, in 194 of the world's 197 countries.

Lols in metres.

Don't you mean, "I annoy countless numbers of electrons" rather than
"spend copious amounts of ink", since almost everything on the internet is just images on a screen rather than something that is in hard-copy form and physically tangible?

Don't waste your breath BB, he can't grasp the reality there's more of US than UK, NZ, AUS, CDN, SA, and the rest of the empire put together so we make our own rules instead of being sheep.

The problem with ordering cookies online is I don't know where they are. Girl Scout cookies are different in different regions depending on the baker.
