Everyone wants to go to college; no one wants to attend class. In my experience (which was long ago), I found that your grade can be quite affected by whether the professor knows you. In a class of 400 students, I would be the one to sit in front and ask questions. Forty years later, I told Princess to always make the professor feel good about their job. Ask questions, drop by their office, show them you appreciate learning from them, etc. She even sent them all thank you notes after the class was finished. Dr. Doolittle rarely attended class in grad school, but that was because she began in 2020 and no one went to class. But she managed to become very memorable to her professors anyway.
