A big chunk of the US awoke yesterday to snow on the ground, falling snow and/or ridiculously low temperatures. Where I am, we have four inches, several more expected, and the high temperature today is predicted to be 17°F. It will be colder tomorrow. While most of us do not expect our dogs to think too far into the future, some of them are contemplating the implications. The prospect of wet frozen feet can open the mind to other possibilities. Here in New Zealand the last while we have been having temperatures of around 32 C in the shade and 44 C in the sun.
The cats that live with me spend their days outside under various trees trying to catch a breeze.
I haven't seen or touched snow since I lived in England in the middle of last century.
Stay warm, Miss C-
Here in the middle of Iowa I'm still digging out of over 12" of snow from last week's blizzard, and it's just now getting above zero. The weekend was brutal, with -18 actual temps and -45 wind chill.
Take care, MarkOfIowa
Whoa, Mark! It's five below zero here now, but that's supposed to be the coldest for a few days. We might even get above freezing tomorrow- right before it starts snowing again.
