Shame on him for sharing his opinion, it's not possible that he has obtained a unique perspective based on past experience in the subject being discussed. It's so condescending of him to disagree with group think on a subject nobody in the room has any experience with.
Bruce: exactly. Just because a man is talking with a woman (or women) does not mean he is "mansplaining" - he might be explaining his opinion or teaching them something they did not know and need to know.

He's probably intentionally misunderstanding the issue to create drama.
