Ahh candy corn. The peeps of Halloween and my favorite vegetable. No, it's not Satan's poop and it pairs well with circus peanuts.

To gwdMaine ... as long as you get them – both the candy corn and the circus peanuts – fresh.  But let them get old and stale, hard and brittle, and even rats, buzzards, and vultures will choose week-old roadkill instead.

Uh-oh. I didn’t know there was a difference between fresh & stale candy corn. Thought that waxy covering pretty much preserved them as is forever. As for circus peanuts, let's just say that as a kid, waiting for them to get stale before eating seemed like an eternity. I seriously kid you not.
