Quickest method is to submerge your house in water and weigh the displaced liquid in meters.
Um, meters are not a measure of weight. Perhaps you mean liters, but that is a measure of volume. Not sure why you would want to know how much your house weighs, but that would be kilograms.

Damn. You people are on it. Next thing you know someone will use the metric system to measure time. We should only be using it for what it was intended for: measuring the diameter of bullets.
I prefer the opposite method: fill the house up with water, then pour the water out into a (huge) beaker, then read the volume on markings on the side of the beaker.
All joking aside I can't understand why that article was written. Are there that many people who can't measure the square footage inside their house? That's about as simple as math gets. And all that crap about measuring the outside and the inside then try to figure out why they don't match. Well duh.
