I wouldn't feel upset about Trauma fees if the money was going to keep the local hospital open and to pay Doctors and Nurses. But more and more hospitals are for profit with the owners pocketing the extra charges. As long as Medicare/Medicaid, and private insurance pay most of the bills it will continue. How can you fight back... you can't. Capitalism gone wild.

The same thing could be said about socialism. Sell lotto tickets and it will go to schools. Sell Marijuana and the taxes will go to schools. With all that money rolling in I'm sure every teacher is driving a new car.
