How Bite Marks Made One Man a Murder Suspect



The murder victim was bitten by someone with a missing tooth. Robert Lee Stinson not only lived near the victim, but he had a missing tooth. Does that mean he did it? Vox looks at forensic pattern evidence, and one case where it went terribly wrong.



Bite mark evidence was new, so there was no one to refute what the experts said was true. Stinson served 23 years in prison for murder. But that wasn't the end of the case.
