Those Who Loved Us in Childhood
The lessons we learn in early childhood are more easily learned when we have unconditional love and support. That's what parents are for. They start out taking care of all our needs, then gradually help us learn to deal with life before we're thrown into the adult world. We can learn to handle the trials of life because our parents had our back even when no one else did. This video from The School of Life only addresses the positive. The converse can be tragic: a child who doesn't have that gentle and loving beginning can suffer for it for a lifetime, which is the subject of another video.
That doesn't mean we are doomed because we had a bad childhood. However, being aware of what happened is the first step to changing it. (via Laughing Squid)
