A couple of years ago, Siberian college student Ayal Adamov heard the Russian rap song "GQ" by Timati, which celebrates money, bling, and the high life. Adamov decided to do the same thing, celebrating the rural life of Yakutia. He and some friends went to the village of Namtsy and recruited some locals to help out. The result is Мой хотон всегда свеж (My Cowshed is Fresh). Despite being recorded in the Yakut language, the parody song became an unlikely hit across Russia. You can read the story of Adamov and his cowshed rap at The Siberian Times. (via Metafilter)
