From Paris to New York

Casey Neistat left his hotel in Paris at 8AM, going to a wedding in upstate New York that was to start at 4PM sharp. Will he make it on time? Yes, by the skin of his teeth, and recorded the process along the way. The skateboard helped! Neistat still had to get dressed by the side of the road. It was a lovely wedding. Dead Raccoon

Table Manners

Rebecca Manley's short film features a bear, a pig, and a squirrel who wander into the woods looking for something to eat. They will sort of remind you of Scrat, Piglet, and Yogi. The cardboard puppets are charming, but don't call the children in to watch it before you've finished it yourself. The film has its own website, where you can read the story behind it. Pet Lamb in a Skate Park

A guy in New Zealand took his pet lamb with him for a day of fun. Wherever he went, the little sheep named Jeff wanted to be right there with him, up and down the ramps of a skate park! The lamb was later rewarded with a refreshing romp on the beach. Actually, they were most likely trying to get him cleaned up a bit before the ride home. In the car, he rode in a box labeled with the brand name "Living Foods." (via Daily Picks and Flicks)

NASA's Pumpkin Carving Contest

The annual pumpkin carving contest at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory had all the geeky elements you'd expect: power tools, laser etching, gears, animation, lights, smoke machines, and spaceships. They also had a couple of things you wouldn't expect, like a pumpkin aquarium and a chocolate fountain disguised as an alien chestburster!

True Facts About The CuttleFish

Ze Frank's True Facts series returns with a look at that odd cephalopod the cuttlefish. They aren't fish; they are mollusks, but they don't have an outer shell. They have a cuttlebone, but who knows why it's called that. Ze is more fascinated with the live animal, as it farts ink, has sex with its face, and changes color in complete darkness. As far as we know. (via Viral Viral Videos)

An Honest Trailer for Thor

With the sequel Thor: The Dark World opening November 8th, it's about time the original Thor got the Honest Trailer treatment. I had the same reaction as Screen Junkies, but I must admit that the eye candy alone made the movie worth my time to watch on home video. The few comedy scenes were the best part of the film. Virgin America In-flight Safety Video

Virgin America goes all out for a memorable in-flight safety video that tells you all the regular stuff with a catchy tune. It's a good thing they recorded this in a huge hangar with passengers sitting in wide reception area seats that are placed several inches apart from each other, with a center aisle big enough to dance in. There's certainly no way to do this kind of production in a real plane! Look for Todrick Hall as one of the dancers. There's also a behind-the-scenes video that shows the story of how this was made.  (via Hypervocal)
