I too like the song. The shimmery organ bit at the beginning sounds like crickets.
It's a real shame that no one nowadays knows how to write a decent protest song.
Fifty-eight people were shot in Chicago over the Labor Day Weekend and 8 killed the week before. In 2024 there were 573 murders, the most in the country for the 13th year in a row. But - that was the first time since 2019 there were fewer than 600 murders in a year. For 2025 the murder rate is down 30%. Good Job! Unless you're young, black, and male. . .
