I got a lesson in this a couple of years ago. Got a great deal on Levis, so I bought two pairs and put one away for when the first wore out. Now they are both too big.

It's too easy to pick a chart topping song from over 50 years ago and label it the worst ever just because it didn't age well. Muskrat Love definitely excluded there. The key here is to pick a song you absolutely couldn't stand when it first came out despite its success. Kung Fu Fighting and Midnight at the Oasis come to mind.
Maybe so, but I found all these songs annoying when they were new.
Trust me ... as a former DJ, I can attest to the fact that there were some far worse songs out there...
