Danemon's Monster Hunt

This Japanese cartoon was produced in 1935. A samurai who acts like Popeye but looks more like Bluto tries to save a damsel in distress. Instead, he is captured by an army of raccoon dogs! You can skip the first minute, but don't miss the later appearance of the one-eyed rokurokubi. I have no doubt that this cartoon is better if you understand Japanese, but it isn't crucial to follow the story. (via Everlasting Blort)
