Al Franken on Weekend Update

If you're confused, slow down. This SNL segment is from1981, when Saturday Night Live really sucked. Dick Ebersol lasted until 1985, when the show once again came under the control of Lorne Michaels. Michaels has been at the helm ever since. You can see here how Franken was never afraid to tell things like they are. And he was really good at building name recognition for his eventual entry into politics.

This, and the Mick Jagger gig, have amazed me. I didn't watch SNL all those years ago. Franken looks so young! And he did a great Jagger. Thank you for these posts.

Will never forgive Kirsten Gillibrand (yeah, my senator) for targeting Mr. Franken and destroying his political career over literally nothing. Meanwhile, I'm not hearing anywhere near that level of outrage from her over the vast sexual depravity committed by that Orange Bag of Feces squatting inside the White House.
