My mother, who was the daughter of a professional musician, sang on local radio broadcasts imagine a low-rent version of WLS's Barn Dance, for example) while still in high school herself, and passed some of that talent on down to me, once told me that those lyrics were the worst abomination ever perpetrated on any song. While they may not be THE worst, I would have to agree that they would definitely rank right up there in the Top Ten.
